This policy explains what vegasnow-canada.ca collects when you read our pages, what we deliberately do not collect, and what you can demand from us under Canadian privacy law. The short version: this is a reading site, not a casino. There is no account here, no wallet and no cashier, and we never ask for banking details or identity documents. Requests of that kind come from the operator on its own platform, never from us.
What this site collects
There are two categories. Nothing outside them is gathered.
Automatically collected technical and analytics data
- IP address: usually truncated or anonymized by our analytics configuration, and used to approximate province-level location so we can tell Canadian traffic from everything else.
- Device and browser data: device type (phone, tablet, desktop), operating system, browser and version, screen resolution, preferred language.
- Behaviour on the site: pages viewed, time on page, scroll depth, entry and exit pages, and which links were clicked.
- Referral source: whether you arrived from a search engine, a direct visit or another website.
- Server logs: request timestamps, requested URLs and response codes, kept for security and troubleshooting.
This is aggregate, statistical material: it tells us a page about Interac withdrawals is read to the end on mobile but abandoned halfway on desktop. It does not tell us who you are, and we do not try to work that out.
Information you send us on purpose
If you write to us at [email protected], we receive whatever you put in the message: the text itself, the page you were on, and any contact detail you choose to include so we can reply. Nothing more is required. You do not need to give us a real name to report a wrong bonus figure. We use those messages to answer you and to correct the site, and none of them is added to a marketing list.
What we never ask for
This matters more than the collection list, because it is where impersonation scams operate. We do not request, store or process:
- Card numbers, CVV codes, bank account details or Interac e-Transfer credentials;
- Government ID, passports, driver’s licences, utility bills or selfies for verification;
- Casino account logins, passwords or two-factor codes;
- Social insurance numbers or dates of birth for KYC purposes;
- Any gambling transaction history.
Deposits, withdrawals and identity verification happen entirely inside the operator’s platform, under its own privacy policy and its Curaçao licence. Vegas Now Casino is run by Just Entertainment B.V. under Curaçao Gaming Authority licence OGL/2024/164/0246. If a message claiming to be from this site ever asks you for documents or payment data, it is not from us. Treat it as fraud, do not reply, and check the operator’s real support channel instead.
Cookies and analytics
The site sets a small number of cookies: strictly necessary ones that keep the site working, preference cookies that remember settings such as a consent choice, and analytics cookies that measure traffic. You can refuse or delete them at any time and still read every page. The full breakdown, covering cookie types, purposes and lifespans as well as step-by-step instructions for each major browser, lives in our cookie policy for this site.
Why we are allowed to hold this data
Under Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), an organization may collect, use and disclose personal information only for purposes a reasonable person would consider appropriate, and generally only with your knowledge and consent. Ours are narrow:
| Purpose | Data involved | Consent model |
|---|---|---|
| Serving the pages you request | IP, device data, server logs | Necessary to deliver the site |
| Security and abuse prevention | Server logs, request patterns | Legitimate operation of the site |
| Audience measurement and content improvement | Anonymized analytics, page views | Your consent, withdrawable via browser settings |
| Replying to a [email protected] message | What you typed into the form | Your explicit action in sending it |
Your rights as a Canadian reader
PIPEDA gives you a defined set of rights, and they apply here even though we hold very little about you:
- Access: ask what personal information we hold about you and how it has been used. We respond within 30 days, as the Act requires.
- Correction: have inaccurate or incomplete information amended.
- Withdrawal of consent: refuse analytics cookies, or withdraw a consent you gave earlier, without losing access to any content.
- Deletion: ask us to erase a [email protected] message and any detail attached to it.
- Complaint: take the matter to the regulator if our answer does not satisfy you.
Send access, correction and deletion requests to [email protected]. Because we do not maintain accounts, we may not be able to link anonymized analytics to you personally. Where that is the case we will say so plainly rather than invent a record for you.
Complaining to the regulator
If you believe we have mishandled your information, you can file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (OPC) at priv.gc.ca, which investigates PIPEDA complaints free of charge. You do not need our permission or a lawyer to do it, and you do not have to exhaust our internal process first, though writing to us usually resolves things faster.
Provincial privacy laws
PIPEDA is the federal baseline. Several provinces add their own regime, and where a provincial law has been declared substantially similar, it applies to organizations operating in that province instead of PIPEDA:
- Quebec: Law 25 (An Act to modernize legislative provisions as regards the protection of personal information). It sets the strictest standards in the country: explicit, granular consent for tracking technologies, mandatory transparency about automated processing, a right to data portability, and breach reporting to the Commission d’accès à l’information. Quebec residents may exercise those rights with us directly.
- Alberta: Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), overseen by the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta.
- British Columbia: Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), overseen by the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
Whichever applies to you, our practice is the same everywhere: minimal collection, no sale of data, no profiling of individuals, no cross-site advertising identifiers.
How long we keep things
- Aggregated analytics: retained in statistical form for up to 26 months, then rolled up or discarded.
- Server logs: typically 30 to 90 days, long enough to investigate an incident.
- [email protected] messages: kept while a matter is open and for a reasonable period afterwards, then deleted; earlier on request.
- Cookies: for the lifespans set out in the cookie policy, and gone the moment you clear them.
Who else sees the data
We do not sell personal information, rent mailing lists, or hand reader data to casino operators. Data is shared only with the service providers that make the site function: the analytics platform, the hosting and content delivery provider, and the security layer that filters malicious requests. Each of them acts on our instructions and for those purposes alone. Some process data on servers outside Canada, so that information may be subject to another country’s laws; we keep what they receive minimal. Beyond that, we disclose information only where Canadian law compels it: a valid court order, subpoena or lawful demand.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, administrative access is restricted, software is patched on a regular schedule, and we hold no payment or identity data that would make us a worthwhile target. No online system is absolutely secure and we will not pretend otherwise. Our collection list is kept as short as it is precisely because data that was never gathered cannot leak.
Age restriction
This site is written for adults of legal gambling age: 19+ as our general minimum, and 18 in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec. It is not directed at minors, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under their province’s legal age. If a minor has sent us something at [email protected], tell us and we will delete it. Access conditions for the site are set out in the terms of use for this site.
Changes to this policy
Privacy law in Canada is moving. Quebec’s Law 25 obligations phased in through 2023 and 2024, and federal reform proposals keep returning to Parliament. We update this page when the law changes or when our tooling does; the revision date at the top always reflects the current version, and material changes are flagged rather than slipped in silently.
Contact
Privacy questions, access requests, corrections and deletion requests all go to [email protected]; mark the subject as a privacy request so it is routed correctly. We do not publish the operator’s support address here, because casino account, payment and verification matters are handled by Vegas Now Casino directly and not by us. If you want to know what we actually publish about the brand before deciding how much of your attention it deserves, read the Vegas Now Casino Canada review section.
19+ (18+ in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec). Vegas Now Casino is available to Canadian players under a Curaçao Gaming Authority licence and is not regulated by any Canadian province; it is not available to residents of Ontario. Play responsibly.
We fund a CAD account on every casino we cover, play through part of the offer, run a real withdrawal and re-check the limits each quarter. Numbers on this page come from the operator's own Canadian terms, checked in August 2026.
